New 6metre Netter for Penzance / Newlyn

This new order for a wide Signature 595 was taken in October to work out of Penzance / Newlyn early next year.

The vessel is broadly similar to that built for Stride Fishing Ltd earlier in the year, but with some changes / additions to the customer’s requirements.

This 595 is being built with a 3m beam giving a large self-draining deck, watertight flush deck lockers and a forward ‘lantern’ style offset wheelhouse, forepeak and provision for starboard pot-hauler.

Power is provided by two Yamaha 60hp fuel injected 4 stroke outboards which will give the boat plenty of speed and control with the excellent fuel economy for which Yamaha are known. (Stride Fishing uses 40hp Evinrude e-tec two stroke outboards giving 20 knots).

Due for delivery just prior to Christmas 2006, the vessel is constructed under Seafish rules and the use of the latest materials is intended to give strength without excessive weight. The Lloyds Special Service Craft test will be used as for the previous build.

Manufacture and sea trials prior to delivery in December 2006

Widened version of the standard 595 to provide even greater working deck area. Offset forward wheelhouse and foredeck with pot hauler mounting. Starboard side heavy duty wear patch. Twin outboards with Hydrive hydraulic steering and ‘cat’ valve to eliminate steering link bars.
