The Signature 595 has been designed from the ground up as a versatile, practical and durable alternative to the run of the mill monohulls in this category. Aimed primarily at anglers who will enjoy the impressive deck space and stability, this design has also received interest from the commercial sector for both potting and survey work. At 2.5m beam, she is within the legal U.K. towing width limit and at around 1000 kg total weight is still manageable for launch and recovery whilst maintaining the look of a ‘big’ small boat. Offered with an extensive options list, this design can be customized to individual requirements, right up to a full custom build for specific applications. Current power options range from twin 25 to 40 hp outboards giving speeds of 18 to 25 knots, but engines up to 120 kg gross weight each can be fitted. The most important design feature—the high tunnel between the hulls, is the key to the superior rough weather capabilities. This allows higher speeds into head seas when other vessels are easing off, giving none of the ‘slamming’ peculiar to power catamarans with low bridge decks.
Currently under development is a cuddy for the 2.5 metre wide version.
Wheelhouse and inboard diesel options are available for the 3 metre wide version (see New Builds section)
All things to all people, in the Signature 595 series BWSeaCat have an option to suit all needs. |
